Scholastic Fitness: A Grizzly Priority

Pop Warner Little Scholars is the only national youth sports organization in America that requires its participants to perform adequately in the classroom before permitting them to play. We believe that the standards we have set give our children a sense of responsibility and an appreciation for academics and athletics that will help them develop later in life.

Proof of satisfactory progress in school is required of all of our participants. A 2.0/70% or the equivalent is the minimum grade point average acceptable to participate in Pop Warner activities.  From there, they are given points based on community involvement, volunteerism and special awards and recognition.

Each year Pop Warner recognizes the top 1% student athletes in the country.  In additional to National recognition, the Southeast Region and the Mid-Florida conference also select Scholars to be recognized separate from the National selection process.
