Football & Cheerleading Camp
Thursday, July 29, 2010 6-8PM & Friday, July 30, 2010 5-7PM
The
Winter Springs High School will be hosting the annual Football Camp
and Cheerleading Camp on July 29th and 30th.
The football camp will be held at the WSHS "pit" area located next to the stadium. The cost for this camp will be $35
and participants can register at the beginning of camp. Participants should attend camp
dressed in a tee shirt, athletic shorts and cleats. Participants are to bring their
own water to camp.
The cheerleading camp will be held at the WSHS Cafeteria. The registration
form for cheerleading camp is available by emailing the cheer coordinator, April Barbara at aprilbarbarawspw@aol.com
The rate for cheer camp is $25 if paid by July 23rd and goes up to $38 after that point.
This fee includes a cheerleading camp t-shirt. Checks should be made payable to
Winter Springs High School. You can pay upon arrival at camp but the t-shirt will
not be available to you until after the camp is over. Participants should wear a solid white
tee shirt, black cotton shorts with no pockets or zippers and sneakers. No jewelry is permitted
to be worn for safety reasons. Participants should bring a minimum of two bottles of water in
order to stay hydrated.
At the close of camp, there will be a fundraiser Spaghetti Dinner at the cafeteria for
all football and cheer parents and participants. The Parent Meeting will also take place
at that time. If you would like tickets for the spaghetti dinner, you can contact
April Barbara via email at the above email address to arrange the purchasing of
tickets for your family. Tickets are $5 per plate and can be purchased at the door.
We do ask that you email April Barbara to RSVP in advance so that we can make sure that
we have enough food to accommodate all families.
Players who have not registered for the 2010 season will have the final opportunity
to register at this event.
Registration fees are set at $185 for football and $225 for
cheer (this fee difference is due to the cost of cheer shoes being
included in the fee.)
Please remember to bring an original and a copy of the child's birth
certificate, 2"X2" profile picture, 3 copies of their final
report card from the 2009-10 school year and copy of ONE utility bill
from the months of February, March or April. Other forms
to be completed are available and can be downloaded from our
Grizzlies Forms link page which can located in the left
column on this front page.
If
you have specific questions, please feel free to read the page
dedicated to Frequently Asked Questions link located on the left
side column of this front page.

There were 176 scholar athletes selected from grades 5 through 9
by a national panel of educators this year. They were
chosen based on their outstanding achievements in scholastics and volunteerism within
their communities. Winter Springs is proud to say we have
3 scholar athletes selected out of over 10,000 entries received from over
the world.
Shauna and Harrison did it AGAIN!!!
At the National
Convention, 8th grade first team members are evaluated and
considered for scholarships. Our Shauna and Harrison
walked away with over $4000 in scholarships at the National
level. Way to go!
The Grizzlies were
also represented with an additional 19 scholar
athletes who made the Second Team or Honorable Mention Team for
the report cards and entry forms relating to the scholastic year
of August 2008-May 2009.
